With a combined 20+ years of both client side and agency experience, Chris brings a broad perspective and deep industry expertise to bear for Influence clientele. He started his career at Johnson & Johnson, where over a ten year span held a variety of roles with increased responsibility in sales and marketing management. Since 2000, he has been on the agency side, and at Influence he is responsible for strategy, creative, marketing and client services.
Before joining Influence, Chris was a member of imc2’s (largest independent digital agency in the U.S.) executive team, responsible for business strategy and overall governance, and managed all operations of imc2’s New York City and Philadelphia offices. In this role, Chris led the teams responsible for digital marketing initiatives for clients MARS, Campbell’s Soup, Alcoa, Cigna, Pfizer, Barilla and Hasbro, and his digital marketing expertise spans multiple business verticals, categories and models.
Rocco and Chris worked together at Medical Broadcasting Company (now Digitas Health), the foundation of strong relationship where the two’s skills sets are highly complementary. While at MBC/Digitas Health, Chris was a part of the executive team in his role as SVP of Strategy & Development. He and his team developed market leading strategies that leveraged emerging technology and platforms to provide sustainable competitive advantages for clients such as AstraZeneca, Allergan, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Genentech, Biogen-Idec and Johnson & Johnson.
Between his stints at MBC/DigitasHealth and imc2, Chris was recruited by AOL founder Steve Case to help launch RevolutionHealth. Chris was in charge of developing the patient-provider-patient centric business strategy, with the objective of creating an alternative to today’s standard healthcare. RevolutionHealth’s board of directors included Colin Powell, Carly Fiorina, Jim Barksdale, Steve Wiggins and other U.S. business luminaries, and the business was eventually sold to a privately-held media conglomerate.
Chris earned a B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College, where he also studied psychology and art history. An avid outdoorsman, he resides in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, with his wife and their three teenagers.
